About Us

The purpose of the Board of Directors is to establish policy and procedure for the Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba.

• Establish the CSCM’s mission, strategic objectives, policy, long-range plan and budget.
• Ensure that the CSCM behaves in a fiscally and legally responsible manner.
• Board members should educate themselves about the work of the CSCM, policies and procedures and their positions
• Ensure that the CSCM has the funds necessary to achieve its mission.
• Ensure that the CSCM is managed effectively.
• Ensure that the Board itself is as effective and efficient as it can be.

Membership shall be comprised of representative of each of the following groups:

• Athlete representatives; Manitoba Athletes Association (2)
• Coach representatives; Appointed by the representative Directors (2)
• Sport Canada (1)
• Canadian Olympic Committee (1)
• Sport Manitoba (3)
• Coaching Association of Canada (1)
• Members at Large (to a maximum of 9); Appointed by the representative Directors
• Centre General Manager (non-voting)
