The Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba (CSCM) is a proud member of the Canadian Sport Centre network having opened for business in March 1997. The CSCM was created as one of the many legacies of the 1999 Pan American Games held in Winnipeg. With the ongoing support of Sport Manitoba, Canadian Olympic Committee, Sport Canada, Coaching Association of Canada, Pan Am Games Legacy Fund, and the corporate community, the CSCM continues to be recognized as a 'hub' for high performance sport activities in Manitoba.
The CSCM provides services and programs to enhance the training environment for athletes and coaches throughout the province. The provision of Performance and Life Services is accomplished through a combination of expertise found within CSCM staff members and a network of qualified service providers. As the CSC concept evolves into a network of facility based sport institutes, the CSCM will ultimately be responsible for the creation of a 'culture of excellence' in support of podium performances by Canadian athletes.
